The Alpinestars Stella SP-X Airflow is a women's-specific leather riding jacket built for warm-weather sport and urban riding. It pairs a genuine bovine leather chassis with large mesh panels and perforated zones, so you get the abrasion resistance of leather with airflow that keeps working when you're stuck in traffic or riding through an Australian summer.

Stretch panels through the sleeves and chest, plus pre-curved sleeve construction, let the jacket move with you in a sport riding position rather than fighting it. The cut is developed on a women's performance fit, and a removable thermal liner extends its usefulness into cooler mornings and shoulder-season rides.

Protection is fitted from the outset with CE certified shoulder and elbow armour, and the jacket is ready to take Alpinestars Nucleon chest and back inserts as an upgrade if you want fuller coverage. Nucleon inserts are sold separately.

Check the fit of the shoulder and elbow armour before each ride — protectors should sit over the joint, and the jacket should be zipped fully closed with the collar fastened.
Remove the thermal liner before warm-weather riding, and open the zippered air intake vents to draw air through the mesh and perforated panels; close them again in cooler or wet conditions.
Spot clean the leather with a soft, barely damp cloth and allow it to dry naturally. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or dry clean the leather shell.
Remove armour and the thermal liner before cleaning; the liner can be washed separately according to its own care label.
Keep solvents, petrol, chain lube, bug remover and harsh detergents away from the leather and TPU components — they can stain, harden or degrade them.
If the jacket gets soaked, hang it to dry at room temperature away from direct sunlight, heaters, hair dryers and exhaust heat. Forced heat will shrink and crack leather.
Treat the leather periodically with a quality leather conditioner suited to garment leather to keep it supple; avoid oily dressings on perforated and mesh panels.
Run a little zip lubricant or wax over the main and vent zippers occasionally, and keep grit out of the teeth.
Store on a broad-shouldered hanger in a cool, dry, ventilated spot rather than folded or compressed in a bag, to avoid creasing and mould.
Inspect the leather, seams, stitching and armour pockets after any crash or slide, and replace the jacket or protectors if you find abrasion damage, split seams or deformed armour.
Nucleon chest and back inserts fit the existing compartments and snap system — install them before riding rather than carrying them loose.
