The Vortex Racing adjustable rearsets are a direct-fit aftermarket replacement for the Yamaha YZF-R1 (2015–2021), designed for riders who want greater control over their ergonomics on road or track. Vortex Racing is a well-regarded US manufacturer known for precision CNC machined billet aluminium components.
The adjustable design lets riders fine-tune footpeg and lever positioning to suit their individual riding style, whether that is an upright road stance or a more committed track position.

- Torque all mounting fasteners to the manufacturer's specified values and re-check after the first 50 km of use.
- Before each track session, inspect all pivot points, adjustment bolts, and lock fasteners for tightness and wear.
- Clean with a mild degreaser and a soft brush; rinse thoroughly and dry completely to prevent corrosion at pivot and adjustment points.
- Apply a light grease or anti-seize compound to pivot pins and adjustment bolt threads periodically to prevent seizing.
- When changing footpeg or lever positions, ensure every lock bolt is fully tightened before riding and confirm brake and gear lever feel before leaving the pits.
- After exposure to rain, road grime, or salt, clean and dry the rearsets promptly to extend service life.
- Periodically check for cracks, elongated mounting holes, or stripped threads, particularly after any crash or heavy impact.
