The Vee Rubber VRM308R is a rear trials tyre in 400-18, built for the low-speed traction and grip that observed trials and technical off-road riding demand. Its tubeless construction lets riders run the very low pressures trials riding relies on, while the 2-ply casing keeps the carcass pliable enough to conform over rocks, roots and logs.

Because it is road legal, the VRM308R also suits trail and trials-style bikes that need to link sections via public roads. A practical replacement rear for trials machines and enduro-based bikes already running an 18-inch rear wheel.

  • Rear-fitment trials tyre in 400-18
  • Tubeless construction, suited to low-pressure trials riding
  • 2-ply casing for a pliable, conforming carcass
  • Road legal for linking sections on public roads
  • Trials tread pattern aimed at low-speed grip over rocks and obstacles
  • One rear tyre

  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified tyre technician using proper tyre-fitting equipment; levering a tubeless carcass on by hand risks damaging the bead.
  • Check that the rim is a sealed tubeless-compatible rim in good condition, with a serviceable valve, before running the tyre without a tube.
  • Set pressures cold and to the pressure recommended by your motorcycle manufacturer or your trials setup; recheck before every ride, as low-pressure trials tyres lose air noticeably over time.
  • Ride gently for the first outing to scrub off the release agent from the moulding process and let the tyre bed in before pushing for grip.
  • Inspect the tread and sidewalls regularly for cuts, punctures, embedded stones and bead damage, and have any damage assessed before riding again.
  • Clean with mild soapy water and a soft brush only. Avoid solvents, petrol and tyre-shine dressings, which can degrade the rubber and reduce grip.
  • Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and any chemicals.
  • Replace the tyre when the tread is worn out, if the casing is deformed or cut through, or if the rubber has hardened or cracked with age.
  • Do not fit a tube inside without confirming compatibility with your rim and setup, and do not exceed the pressure limits marked on the tyre sidewall during seating.
