Vee Rubber Tyre VRM308R 350-17 Trial Tyre Tube Type

The Vee Rubber VRM308R is a rear trials tyre in 3.50-17, built for the low-speed traction and grip that trials and observed-section riding demands. It is a road legal pattern, so it suits trials machines that also see time on sealed roads between sections.

Constructed with a 2 ply casing and supplied as a tube type tyre, it is a straightforward replacement fitment for trials bikes running a 17-inch rear rim. Sold individually as a single rear tyre.

  • Trials pattern rear tyre for low-speed grip in off-road sections
  • 3.50-17 size to suit 17-inch trials rear rims
  • 2 ply casing construction
  • Tube type — requires an inner tube
  • Road legal pattern
  • Sold individually as a single rear tyre

  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre fitter — trials casings are soft and easily damaged by incorrect fitting technique.
  • As a tube type tyre, fit with a new inner tube of the matching size and fresh rim tape; do not run it tubeless unless the sidewall is marked accordingly.
  • Check the sidewall marking for the rotation direction and fit the tyre the correct way around.
  • Set cold inflation pressure to the figure specified in your motorcycle's owner's manual or on the swingarm/chainguard placard, and check pressures cold before each ride — trials tyres are commonly run at low pressures, so small losses have a large effect.
  • Scrub in a new tyre gently over the first rides, avoiding hard acceleration, braking and lean angles until the release agent has worn off the tread.
  • Inspect regularly for cuts, embedded stones, bulges, sidewall damage and tread depth, and replace the tyre if any are found.
  • Re-check rim lock and valve stem alignment after early rides — a tube that has crept will pull the valve stem on an angle and can tear.
  • Clean with mild soapy water and a soft brush; avoid solvents, petrol and tyre dressings or shine products that can leave the tread slippery.
  • Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from electric motors, ozone sources and fuels or oils.
  • Observe the legal minimum tread depth and any local rules for road use, and replace the tyre if it is aged or perished even when tread remains.
