The Vance & Hines Twin Slash 3" Slip-On is a straightforward way to change the look, sound and performance of a Harley-Davidson Sportster without touching the head pipes. The 3-inch chrome mufflers bolt onto the existing system, finished with the brand's signature twin slash end caps and full coverage heat shields.

Suited to Sportster models from 2004 to 2013, this is one of the more affordable and popular first upgrades for riders after a deeper exhaust note and a cleaner, more custom profile. Quiet and competition baffles are offered separately, so the sound level can be tailored after fitting.

Confirm your exact model and year against the 2004-2013 Sportster fitment before fitting; slip-ons attach to the standard head pipes and do not replace them.
Fit to a completely cold exhaust, and follow the supplied Vance & Hines instructions for clamp positioning and fastener torque.
Wipe fingerprints, oil and any handling residue off the chrome before the first heat cycle — contaminants baked into hot chrome can cause permanent staining or bluing.
Re-check the clamps and mounting hardware after the first few heat cycles and periodically thereafter, as exhaust fasteners can loosen with expansion and contraction.
Clean only when the mufflers are cool, using a soft cloth with mild soapy water or a dedicated chrome polish; avoid abrasives, harsh solvents and high-pressure washing around joints and heat shields.
Dry the exhaust thoroughly after washing or riding in the wet, and give the chrome a light polish to help resist surface corrosion in coastal and humid conditions.
If you change the baffles to alter the sound level, do it with the exhaust cold and refit all retaining hardware securely.
Have the fuelling checked by a qualified technician after fitting, as exhaust changes can affect how the engine runs.
Check the pipes are clear and free of debris after long storage, and store the bike in a dry, sheltered spot to protect the chrome.
