The Vance & Hines Twin Slash 3" Slip-On Mufflers are a straightforward way to wake up the Milwaukee-Eight engine in late-model Harley-Davidson Softail machines. They replace the standard mufflers on the existing head pipes, so the swap is a bolt-on job rather than a full system change.
This version is finished in chrome and carries the signature Vance & Hines twin slash end treatment, with full-coverage heat shields that keep the look clean along the length of the muffler body. Sound can be tailored after the fact, as the mufflers accept optional quiet or competition baffles.
Suited to Softail riders after a gutsier exhaust note and a more purposeful profile without moving to a complete exhaust system. Check the fitment details before ordering — several Softail variants are excluded.

- Confirm your exact Softail model code before fitting — Fat Bob, Deluxe and Heritage Classic variants are not covered by this application.
- Only fit or remove the mufflers with the engine and exhaust completely cold.
- Wipe all fingerprints, oil and packaging residue from the chrome before the first start-up; oils left on the surface will bake in and can discolour the finish.
- Re-check the clamps and mounting fasteners after the first few heat cycles, then periodically, as fasteners can settle once the exhaust has been up to temperature.
- Clean the chrome with warm water, mild soap and a soft cloth, then dry thoroughly; avoid abrasive pads, wire brushes and harsh solvents.
- Use a chrome-suitable polish or protectant on a cool exhaust only, and keep polish off the muffler outlets.
- Rinse and dry the mufflers after riding in rain, on salted roads or near the coast to limit surface corrosion and pitting.
- Allow room around the heat shields when packing luggage or fitting accessories, and keep clothing and skin clear of the mufflers while hot.
- If you fit optional quiet or competition baffles, do so with the exhaust cold; changing baffles alters exhaust flow, so have the fuelling checked or retuned if the bike runs differently afterwards.
- Check your state's noise and vehicle standards requirements before road use, as aftermarket exhausts are not always compliant.
