The Vance & Hines Eliminator 300 Slip-Ons bring the Eliminator styling cue to the Milwaukee-Eight powered Harley-Davidson Softail family. The 3-inch round muffler bodies are finished in a specially formulated satin chrome developed to match the silver finish used on factory heat shields and accent points, so the mufflers sit with the bike rather than shouting over it.

End caps are CNC-machined from billet and take their shape from the Vance & Hines flat track racers, while glass-wrapped acoustic baffles give a deep, resonant tone reminiscent of a tuned dirt tracker. They are a straightforward slip-on fitment to the standard head pipes, making them a sensible first upgrade for riders who want a change in look and sound without touching the front end of the exhaust system.

Fits 2018-2020 Softail models, excluding FXFB, FLDE and FLHC variants. Quiet inserts are available separately if you prefer a more subdued note.

  • Confirm your model code before fitting - these mufflers suit 2018-2020 Softail models but do not fit FXFB, FLDE or FLHC variants.
  • Fit to a completely cold exhaust, and follow the torque figures and clamp sequence in the instruction sheet supplied by Vance & Hines.
  • Wipe fingerprints, oils and assembly marks off the satin chrome with a clean, dry cloth before the first start - contaminants left on the surface can bake in permanently during the first heat cycles.
  • Re-check the clamps and mounting hardware after the first few heat cycles and periodically thereafter, as exhaust fasteners can relax with repeated expansion and contraction.
  • Clean the satin chrome with mild soapy water and a soft cloth once the mufflers are cool, then dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive polishes, scouring pads and harsh solvents, which will scratch or brighten the satin finish unevenly.
  • Rinse off road salt, coastal spray and road grime promptly to reduce the risk of surface corrosion and staining.
  • Do not pressure-wash directly into the muffler outlets, and avoid riding immediately after washing without allowing water to drain from the system.
  • If you want a quieter note, fit the optional Vance & Hines quiet inserts for this model rather than packing or restricting the baffles yourself.
  • Inspect the mufflers for dents, cracked welds and loose or damaged end caps at each routine service, and check that the gaskets at the head pipe joints are sealing without leaks.
  • A slip-on change alters exhaust flow, so have the fuelling checked or tuned by a qualified technician if the bike runs poorly, and be aware that noise output may not comply with road-legal limits in all Australian jurisdictions.
