- Clean with warm water and mild soap using a soft cloth or sponge; avoid abrasive pads that can scratch the panel surface.
- Do not use petrol, thinners, acetone, or solvent-based products on plastic panels as these will degrade the material and cause discolouration.
- When fitting, align all OEM mounting points before tightening fasteners to avoid cracking tabs or bolt holes.
- Do not overtighten mounting bolts; plastic panels require only snug fitment to prevent stress fractures at mounting points.
- Inspect mounting tabs and bolt holes periodically for hairline cracks, particularly after frequent off-road use or after any impact.
- Store spare or removed panels in a cool, dry location away from prolonged direct sunlight to prevent UV-related fading and brittleness.
- Mild surface scratches can often be reduced with a plastic polish formulated for motorcycle bodywork.
