The Twin Air TPS Tool (part number 160799) is a workshop setting tool for the throttle position sensor, made for use alongside the Twin Air Powerflow Throttle Body Kit. It lets you fine-tune the TPS to the correct resistance in ohms rather than working by feel or guesswork.

It is aimed at riders, tuners and workshops fitting a Powerflow throttle body, where the sensor needs to be set accurately as part of the installation. Compact enough to live in the toolbox and be pulled out whenever the throttle body or sensor is disturbed.

  • Use with a Twin Air Powerflow Throttle Body Kit and follow the fitting and setting instructions supplied with that kit.
  • Set the throttle position sensor to the resistance value specified for your bike rather than a generic figure.
  • Follow the kit instructions as to whether the ignition should be on or off when taking a reading.
  • Check the connector pins for dirt, corrosion or damage before each use, and make sure they are dry.
  • Unplug by gripping the connector body, not the cable, and avoid stretching or kinking the leads.
  • Wipe the tool with a dry or lightly dampened cloth; keep it away from petrol, brake cleaner and other solvents.
  • Store in a dry toolbox or the original packaging, away from heat and moisture.
  • Re-check the TPS setting after any work that disturbs the throttle body, sensor or its wiring.
