- Before fitting, lightly dust the outside of the tube with talcum powder to help it seat smoothly inside the tyre carcass without folding or bunching.
- Partially inflate the tube just enough to give it shape before placing it inside the tyre — this reduces the risk of pinch flats during installation.
- When mounting the tyre, use tyre irons carefully to avoid pinching or puncturing the tube; work in small increments around the bead.
- After fitting, inflate gradually and check that the tyre bead seats evenly on both sides of the rim before reaching operating pressure.
- Always inflate to the ATV manufacturer's recommended tyre pressure — do not over-inflate.
- Inspect the tube and valve stem regularly for signs of slow leaks, cracking, or damage, particularly after riding in rocky or sharp terrain.
- When removing a tube for repair or replacement, mark the valve stem position relative to the tyre before disassembly to help identify the cause of punctures.
- Store unused tubes uninflated in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, ozone sources (electric motors, fluorescent lights), and petroleum-based products, which degrade rubber.
