The SHAD Top Master is a model-specific fitting kit that lets you mount a SHAD top case to a Vespa Primavera or Sprint. Rather than a universal bracket, it is engineered around this particular scooter, so the rack sits where it should and bolts to the existing mounting points on the bike.
It suits commuters and everyday riders who want secure, lockable storage for a helmet, groceries or work gear, plus the flexibility to take the case off when it is not needed. Fitting and removal are straightforward, and the assembly is designed to be strong enough for regular daily use.
Note: this listing is for the fitting kit only. To mount a case you also need a SHAD top case mounting plate, which is supplied with SHAD top cases (TERRA cases excepted).

- Fit the Top Master using the SHAD instructions supplied with the kit, attaching it only to the scooter's designated mounting points.
- Add the SHAD mounting plate (small D1B29PA or medium D1B40PA) to the fitting before the top case can be attached; the plate comes with SHAD top cases other than TERRA models.
- Check that every bolt is properly seated and evenly tightened before the first ride, and re-check them after the first few rides as the assembly settles.
- Inspect the fasteners periodically as part of routine servicing, and any time you notice movement, rattling or unusual noise from the rear of the scooter.
- Before each ride, confirm the top case is fully engaged and locked onto the plate, and that the release mechanism has latched.
- Do not exceed the load rating specified by SHAD for your top case, and keep heavier items low and forward in the case to limit rear-end sway.
- Wash with mild soapy water and a soft cloth, then dry thoroughly; avoid solvents, abrasive cleaners and high-pressure washing directed at the fittings.
- In coastal or wet Australian conditions, rinse off salt and road grime and dry the hardware to reduce the risk of corrosion.
- Remove the top case when you do not need it to reduce weight and wind load; the fitting can stay on the scooter.
- Do not modify, drill or substitute the supplied hardware, and replace any fastener that is damaged, stripped or corroded.
