The Alpinestars Tech T is a purpose-built trials boot developed and tested across demanding terrain worldwide, and worn by trials legend Toni Bou. Where a motocross boot prioritises outright rigidity, the Tech T balances protection with the foot sensitivity and dexterity trials riding demands, so you can feel the pegs through every hop, pivot and clutch-up.

A leather and microfibre upper is paired with an ergonomically contoured shin-plate and layered ankle protection, while accordion stretch zones and a wide entry aperture keep the fit comfortable and adjustable over a long day of sections. The replaceable outsole, footbed and buckles mean the boot can be serviced rather than retired.

Allow a short break-in period of gentle riding so the leather, microfibre and accordion stretch zones mould to your foot and calf before a full day of sections.
Set the three buckles to a firm but not pinching tension and use the Velcro TPR upper flap to dial in calf fit; check all buckles are locked before every ride.
Knock off mud and grit after each ride, then clean the upper with a soft brush or damp cloth and mild soapy water — avoid solvents, petrol, brake cleaner and harsh detergents.
Dry the boots naturally in a well-ventilated spot away from direct sunlight, heaters and exhaust pipes; forced heat will harden and crack the leather.
Remove the anatomic footbed after wet or muddy rides so the inside of the boot can dry fully, and refit once dry.
Treat the full grain leather sections periodically with a quality leather conditioner to keep them supple; do not saturate the microfibre panels.
Inspect the outsole, buckles and footbed for wear — all three are replaceable, so fit genuine Alpinestars replacement parts rather than riding on worn components.
Check the shin-plate, ankle discs and stitching after any significant impact or crash, and replace the boots if protective components are damaged.
Store upright in a cool, dry place with buckles loosely fastened to help the boots hold their shape; avoid leaving them compressed in a gear bag.
The extended gaiter helps limit water and dirt entry but the boots are not fully waterproof — expect damp feet in deep water crossings.
