The Alpinestars Tech 7 Enduro Drystar is a purpose-built off-road boot for riders who spend long days in mud, water crossings and cold weather. A waterproof Drystar® membrane is built into the chassis to keep water out while still allowing the boot to breathe, and the microfibre upper is reinforced with PU for water resistance and durability without unnecessary weight.

It is aimed squarely at enduro and trail riders rather than pure motocross use. The compound sole is engineered for grip and feel when you are off the pegs and dabbing through technical terrain, while a biomechanical pivot and TPU lateral ankle protection support controlled flex and core stability. The boot is CE-certified to EN 13634:2017.

Practical details matter on a boot that gets worked hard: the self-aligning quick-release buckles, the sole and the footpeg insert are all replaceable, so the boot can be serviced rather than retired. This listing is the Black/Grey/Gold colourway.

Allow a short break-in period — wear the boots around home for a few sessions so the chassis, flex zones and gaiter settle before a long ride.
After riding, knock off loose mud and rinse the outside with clean, cool water; avoid high-pressure washers, which can force water and grit past the seals and membrane.
Clean the microfibre upper and TPU panels with a soft brush or damp cloth and mild soap only — do not use solvents, petrol, brake cleaner or harsh detergents.
Dry the boots at room temperature with good airflow, away from direct sunlight, heaters, exhausts and open flame; forced heat can shrink or distort the microfibre, TPU and membrane.
Remove the anatomic footbed after wet rides so both the footbed and the boot interior can dry fully, and remember this footbed can be taken out and replaced when it wears.
Do not machine wash or tumble dry the boots.
Before each ride, check the buckles, hook-and-loop shin-plate closure and upper TPR flap for damage, grit or wear, and set the buckle adjustment so the boot is secure without pinching.
Buckles are individually replaceable — fit genuine Alpinestars replacement buckles as soon as one is damaged rather than riding with a compromised closure.
Inspect the outer sole and footpeg insert regularly; both are replaceable, so renew them once the tread or peg contact area is worn to restore grip and feel.
Store the boots upright in a cool, dry, ventilated place out of direct sunlight, and make sure they are completely dry before storing them for an extended period.
Replace the boots after any heavy crash impact, as the protective structure may be compromised even if damage is not visible.
