The Alpinestars Tech 7 is a full-height off-road boot built for motocross, enduro and trail riders who want serious protection without giving up feel for the bike. The MY25 boot has been comprehensively overhauled with new materials, a more anatomical profile and a lighter, more comfortable chassis.
A suede leather and microfibre upper is wrapped in extensive TPU protection across the toe, foot, heel, ankle, calf and shin, while a medial and lateral double pivot system supports natural flex and core ankle stability. The redesigned lower shell, metal shank and enlarged medial rubber insert give precise control over the shift lever and confident grip against the frame.
Presented in the purple (0038) colourway, the Tech 7 is CE certified to EN 13634:2017 and uses a replaceable dual-compound vulcanised rubber sole with a built-in wear limit indicator, so the boot can be serviced rather than replaced as the sole wears.

- Check the buckles before every ride: the self-aligning receivers should click home cleanly and the memory settings should hold your preferred tension.
- Allow a short break-in period — the pivot system, bellows and shin plate soften and conform to your leg over the first few rides.
- Knock off loose dirt after each ride, then clean the suede leather and microfibre upper with a soft brush and a damp cloth using lukewarm water; avoid solvents, petrol, brake cleaner and harsh detergents.
- Do not machine wash the boots or soak them; wipe the TPU panels and rubber medial insert separately with a damp cloth.
- After wet or muddy rides, remove the footbeds and let the boots air-dry at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, heaters and exhausts — forced heat can shrink and harden the leather.
- Inspect the sole wear indicator in the footpeg area regularly; once the red layer shows through, fit a replacement sole rather than continuing to ride on it.
- Replace worn buckles, straps, footpeg inserts and soles with genuine Alpinestars spares to keep the boot performing as designed.
- Clear grit from the gaiter and accordion flex zones so they keep sealing and flexing freely, and check the hook-and-loop shin closure for embedded dirt.
- Store upright in a cool, dry, ventilated place with the buckles loosely fastened to help the boots hold their shape.
- Retire any boot that has taken a heavy impact or shows cracked TPU, damaged pivots or torn stitching — impact protection may be compromised even if the damage looks minor.
