The Alpinestars Tech 7 is a full-height off-road boot built for motocross, enduro and trail riding, and the MY25 update carries over the ground-up redesign that made this generation lighter, more anatomically shaped and more protective than the boots it replaced.
It suits riders who want serious impact and abrasion protection without losing feel through the pegs and controls. A double pivot system at the medial and lateral ankle supports natural flex and core stability, while the redesigned TPU lower shell and shift zone are shaped specifically for the left and right foot to improve control and reduce front roll.
Finished in a blue colourway, the Tech 7 is CE certified to EN 13634:2017 and runs a replaceable dual-compound vulcanised sole, so the boot can be refreshed rather than retired once the tread wears through.

- Allow a short break-in period of easy riding so the bellows, pivots and shin plate settle before hard use.
- Adjust the hook-and-loop shin plate closure and set each buckle strap to the correct notch so the boot is firm without pinching; check the self-aligning receivers are seated before every ride.
- Check buckles, straps and receivers regularly for damage or wear and replace worn parts rather than riding with a compromised closure.
- Inspect the sole wear limit indicator in the foot peg area — once the red layer shows through, the sole has reached its wear limit and should be replaced.
- The one-piece sole is replaceable, so have worn soles fitted by Alpinestars or an authorised service centre rather than replacing the whole boot.
- After riding, knock off mud and grit, then clean the suede and microfibre upper with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid solvents, petrol, brake cleaner and harsh detergents.
- Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Dry wet boots naturally at room temperature away from direct sunlight, heaters and exhausts, as heat can distort the TPU and shrink the leather; loosen the buckles and open the gaiter to help them air out.
- Keep the gaiter and rear bellows clear of packed dirt so they continue to seal and flex properly.
- Store upright in a cool, dry place with the buckles fastened loosely to help the boots hold their shape.
- Replace boots that have taken a heavy impact or show cracked TPU, as the protective structure may no longer perform as certified.
