The Alpinestars Tech 10 has been the benchmark motocross boot for well over a decade, and the MY20 redesign rebuilds it from the ground up. Alpinestars' footwear engineers set out to improve functionality, performance and safety while cutting weight and material volume, and every component and connection in the boot was re-engineered to achieve it. The result is a boot with a greater range of movement and flexibility, and far better control over flexion and torsion forces.

It is built for motocross, enduro and off-road riders who want serious ankle and lower-leg protection without giving up feel on the pegs. The Tech 10's comfort has always been a large part of its reputation, and the MY20 keeps that character while adding a seamless flexion control system that runs from the foot shell right up to the shin plate.

Finished in the black/white colourway, this version pairs the iconic Tech 10 silhouette with a slimmer, more streamlined profile and lighter composite materials throughout.

Allow a short break-in period of a few rides; the dual-density chassis and pivot system loosen up and mould to your leg with use.
Adjust the buckles and closure system for a snug, micro-adjusted fit before each ride, and check that each buckle is fully engaged and self-aligned in its plate.
Knock off loose mud and grit after every ride, then clean the microfibre upper and TPU components with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush or cloth.
Avoid petrol, brake cleaner, solvents and harsh degreasers, which can damage the microfibre upper, TPU parts and bonded seams.
Dry the boots naturally in a well-ventilated spot, away from direct sunlight, heaters and open flame; never force-dry them, as heat can distort the shell and adhesives.
Remove the insoles between rides to help the inner boot dry out fully and reduce odour.
Inspect the sole and grip surfaces regularly and fit new sole inserts once the micro-grip texture is worn, so peg feel and traction are maintained.
Check the buckles, straps, blade connectors and gaiter periodically for cracks, wear or missing hardware, and replace worn parts with genuine Alpinestars spares.
Store the boots upright in a cool, dry place out of direct UV, with the buckles lightly fastened to help the boots hold their shape.
Retire the boots after a heavy crash or if the shell, shin plate or heel protection shows cracking or deformation, as impact protection may be compromised.
