The Alpinestars Tech 10 has set the benchmark for motocross boot performance and protection for well over a decade, and the current version pushes that envelope further again. While the silhouette remains unmistakably Tech 10, the boot has been reworked around three priorities: better overall function and safety, less weight, and reduced material volume — the result is a wider, more natural range of movement with tighter control over flexion and torsional forces.

It is built for motocross, supercross, enduro and off-road riders who want a premium race boot without giving up all-day comfort. The redesigned chassis brings together the patented Frontal Flexion Control Frame, asymmetrical dual-pivot arms and the patented Dynamic Heel Compression Protection shock absorber, all integrated into a one-piece foot shell with a slimmer, more streamlined outsole.

Allow a short break-in period of a few rides — the foot shell, pivots and lining settle to your foot and the boot will feel progressively more flexible.
Set the buckle memory-fit adjustment once so each buckle self-aligns and closes to the same tension every time; check all three buckles are fully latched before every ride.
Knock off dried mud with a soft brush, then wash the microfibre and TPU upper with lukewarm water and a mild soap; avoid solvents, petrol, brake cleaner and harsh detergents.
Do not aim a high-pressure washer directly at the buckles, pivot arms, gaiter or sole bonding — water and grit forced into these areas accelerate wear.
Air dry at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, heaters and exhausts; drying with heat can distort TPU components and stiffen the microfibre.
Rinse and dry the boots after wet or muddy rides, then remove the footbeds so the interior lining can dry fully.
Periodically check the buckles, straps, pivot arms, rear blade and gaiter for cracks, loose fasteners or excessive play, and replace worn parts rather than riding on them.
When the central sole insert wears, have it replaced — the sole insert is replaceable and Alpinestars offers a boot repair service for the Tech 10.
Store upright in a cool, dry place with buckles lightly closed to help the boot hold its shape; avoid leaving them compressed in a gear bag for long periods.
Replace the boots after a heavy crash or any impact that damages the shell, frame or heel protection, as the protective structures are designed to absorb energy once.
