The States MX Fold/Flex Clutch Perch and Lever Assembly is a complete clutch-side control unit built for the knocks that come with motocross and off-road riding. The lever is CNC forged alloy and pivots forward as well as up and down, so a tip-over or bar strike pushes it out of the way instead of snapping it off. A spring-loaded ball bearing seats into a recess in the perch, holding the lever firmly where you set it and letting it move only when it takes a hit.
It is sold as a matched lever and perch, designed to suit mainstream motocross brands as a universal fitment — check the fitment guide against your bike before ordering. A quick adjuster on the perch lets you take up clutch cable free play on the fly without stopping, and a rubber boot shields the lever and perch joint from mud and grit.
Finished in blue to suit team-coloured builds, with black and other team colours also offered in the range.

- Check the fitment guide for your make, model and year before fitting — this is a universal assembly aimed at mainstream motocross bikes.
- Mount the perch to the handlebar, set the lever angle to suit your riding position, then tighten the clamp bolt securely without distorting the bar or the clamp.
- Use the quick adjuster on the perch to take up clutch cable free play on the fly; if it runs out of travel, wind it back and take up the slack at the other end of the cable, then re-check that the clutch fully engages and disengages before riding.
- Keep the rubber boot seated over the lever and perch joint so mud, dust and water stay out of the pivot.
- After a crash or tip-over, fold the lever back into place and confirm the spring-loaded ball bearing re-seats in its recess so the lever holds position rather than flopping.
- Wash with mild soapy water and a soft brush; avoid harsh solvents and degreasers, and don't aim a pressure washer directly at the pivot, boot or cable adjuster.
- After washing, dry the assembly and apply a light lubricant to the lever pivot and the ball bearing detent so the fold/flex action stays free.
- Inspect the lever and perch regularly for cracks, bending or a worn pivot; replace damaged parts rather than attempting to straighten or repair them.
