A direct replacement throttle assembly for STACYC's 12eDRIVE and 16eDRIVE electric balance bikes fitted with 19mm mini handlebars. It arrives as a complete unit — throttle body, wire harness and grip — so a worn, damaged or unresponsive throttle can be swapped out in one go rather than pieced together from parts.

This is the part to reach for when a young rider's bike has taken a spill, the throttle no longer returns cleanly, or the harness has been pinched or pulled. Handlebar diameter matters: it suits 19mm mini bars only, so check what your bike is running before ordering.

Fitting is best carried out by an adult.

Confirm your handlebar diameter at the throttle mounting point before fitting — this assembly suits 19mm mini bars only and will not clamp correctly on 7/8" bars.
Disconnect and remove the bike's battery before unplugging the old throttle or routing the new harness.
Route the wire harness along the existing path and secure it clear of the steering stops, so it is not pinched, stretched or snagged when the bars are turned lock to lock.
Make sure the harness connector is fully seated and clicked home before refitting the battery, and check the throttle responds correctly with the rear wheel off the ground.
Check the throttle returns freely to the closed position on its own before every ride; if it hangs up or feels gritty, stop riding and investigate.
Check the throttle clamp, grips and bar ends are secure at regular intervals, particularly after a crash or a hard day's riding.
Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap only. Avoid solvents, degreasers and pressure washers, which can damage the grip and force water into the connector.
If the bike gets wet, dry the throttle and connector area before storage, and store the bike somewhere cool and dry.
Fitting and inspection should be carried out by an adult, not the rider.
