A genuine STACYC 9-tooth replacement sprocket for the 12eDRIVE and 16eDRIVE electric balance bikes. It is the OEM sprocket fitted to the 12eDRIVE, and it also suits the 16eDRIVE, so one part covers both bikes in the shed.

Sprockets are a wear item on any chain-driven bike, and small riders are hard on them. Keeping a spare on hand means a worn or damaged sprocket does not turn into a weekend off the bike. Ideal for parents, coaches and dealers servicing STACYC balance bikes.

Switch the bike off and remove the battery before carrying out any drivetrain work.
Inspect the sprocket teeth regularly for hooking, chipping or uneven wear, and replace once the profile is visibly worn.
Fit a fresh chain at the same time as a new sprocket where possible — a worn chain will quickly wear in a new sprocket.
Check chain tension and alignment after fitting, and re-check after the first few rides.
Ensure the sprocket fasteners are seated and secure before riding, and check them periodically as part of routine servicing.
Keep the chain and sprocket clean of mud, sand and grit, and apply a suitable chain lubricant after wet or dusty rides.
Wipe away excess lubricant so it does not attract more dirt.
Avoid high-pressure washing directly at the drivetrain and bearings; use a soft brush and a low-pressure rinse instead.
Dry the drivetrain and re-lubricate the chain after washing or riding in the wet to prevent corrosion.
Store spare sprockets in a dry place away from moisture.
