Stacyc S/P - Brushless Motor+ESC Only 12/16 (No Gearboxes)

The STACYC brushless motor and ESC combo (part ST420038) is the OE replacement drive unit for STACYC 12eDRIVE and 16eDRIVE electric balance bikes. It pairs the brushless motor with its matched electronic speed controller, so the two components that manage power delivery are replaced together as a set.

This is a service part intended for workshops, dealers and hands-on parents repairing or refreshing an existing bike. It suits a bike with a failed or worn motor or controller, or one being rebuilt after a hard life of backyard and track laps.

Gearboxes are not included and must be ordered separately if yours also needs replacing. Fitting involves working with the bike's wiring and drivetrain, so it is best carried out by someone comfortable with basic electrical and mechanical assembly.

Confirm your bike model before ordering — this set is for the 12eDRIVE and 16eDRIVE, and the gearbox is not supplied.
Disconnect and remove the battery before starting any work on the motor, ESC or wiring.
Note the routing and orientation of the existing loom and connectors before disassembly, and refit the new unit the same way.
Make sure all plugs are fully seated and locked, and keep the loom clear of the drivetrain, tyre and any pinch or rub points.
Use the correct fasteners and tighten motor mounting hardware evenly; check it again after the first few rides.
If the gearbox is worn, damaged or noisy, replace it at the same time — a worn gearbox loads the new motor unnecessarily.
Clean the bike with a damp cloth or a light spray only; never use a pressure washer or hose directly on the motor, ESC or connectors.
Dry the area around the motor and controller after wet or muddy riding, and check connectors for corrosion or trapped grit.
Allow the motor and ESC to cool after extended hard riding rather than continuing to load them once hot.
Store the bike somewhere cool and dry, and stop riding and have the bike inspected if you notice unusual noise, loss of power or intermittent cut-outs.
