A genuine STACYC replacement throttle assembly for the 12eDRIVE and 16eDRIVE electric balance bikes, and the equivalent IRONe models. It arrives as a complete unit — twist throttle with grip, on/off switch, LED indicator and wiring harness — so a damaged, worn or non-responsive throttle can be swapped out in one go rather than sourced as separate pieces.

Suited to parents, riding coaches and dealers keeping young riders' bikes on the trail. The throttle is the most handled control on these bikes and takes the brunt of tip-overs and garage knocks, making this a sensible spare to have on the shelf.

Confirm your model before fitting — this throttle is for the 12eDRIVE, 16eDRIVE and IRONe platforms with 22mm handlebars, and will not suit other bar diameters.
Switch the bike off and disconnect the battery before removing the old throttle or unplugging any harness connector.
Slide the throttle onto a clean, dry handlebar; grip solvents and lubricants can leave a residue that lets the assembly rotate under use.
Seat the harness connector fully until it clicks, and check the plug is dry and free of dirt before joining it.
Route the harness so it follows the existing wiring path, with enough slack for full bar movement and no pinch points at the steering stops or headset.
Secure loose harness with cable ties, keeping it clear of the front wheel, forks and any moving parts.
Before each ride, check that the throttle returns to closed on its own and that the assembly has not rotated on the bar.
Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap only — do not use a pressure washer, hose or solvents on the throttle or its connector.
Store the bike indoors in a cool, dry place, and avoid leaving the throttle exposed to prolonged direct sunlight or standing water.
If the LED behaves unexpectedly or the throttle is intermittent, inspect the harness for chafing and the connector for corrosion before replacing further parts.
