Remove the shoulder and elbow protectors and detach the thermal liner before washing; wash and dry the protectors separately by hand if they need cleaning.
Close all zips, vents and hook-and-loop adjusters before washing so they don't snag or abrade the outer fabric.
Follow the care label sewn into the garment for wash temperature and cycle — do not bleach, do not dry clean, and avoid fabric softeners, which clog the fabric and reduce water repellency.
Do not tumble dry or dry near a heater, exhaust or direct sunlight; hang the jacket on a wide hanger and let it dry naturally.
For light soiling, sponge the outer shell with lukewarm water and a mild detergent rather than machine washing; never use solvents, petrol or aggressive cleaners.
When water stops beading on the outer shell, re-treat it with a wash-in or spray-on water repellent suitable for technical motorcycle textiles — the fixed membrane still works, but a wetted-out face fabric feels cold and breathes poorly.
Dry the jacket fully before storing, and store it hanging in a cool, dry place rather than compressed in a bag, so the membrane and insulation keep their loft.
Check before every ride that the shoulder and elbow protectors sit correctly over the joints and that the protector pockets are closed.
Open the chest vents in warm or dry conditions and close them before rain; add the thermal liner for cold rides and stow it in the lower back cargo pocket when it warms up.

Inspect zips, stitching, adjusters and protectors periodically, and replace the jacket or its protectors after any crash impact.
