Confirm your helmet is an MX2 Jnr in the Bolt PC-8F graphic before fitting — peaks are model and colourway specific and will not swap between models.
Remove the old peak by undoing its mounting screws, keeping the screws and any washers or grommets aside for reuse.
Seat the new peak flush against the shell before starting the screws, and tighten them evenly by hand so the peak sits square.
Do not overtighten the mounting screws; excessive force can strip the fittings or crack the peak around the mounting holes.
Check the mounting screws for tightness before rides, as vibration and roost impacts can gradually loosen them.
Clean with warm water and a mild soap using a soft cloth, then dry with a microfibre cloth.
Avoid petrol, solvents, thinners and harsh household cleaners, which can attack the plastic and lift the graphics.
Remove the peak before washing or deep-cleaning the helmet so you can reach the shell and the peak mounts properly.
Store the helmet where the peak isn't bearing weight or resting against a hard edge, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to limit fading.
Replace the peak if it is cracked, deeply gouged or has damaged mounting points — a compromised peak can break away in use.
