Operations & maintenance

Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid solvent-based cleaners, petrol or abrasive products that can degrade the shell finish.
Remove and hand-wash the interior liner and cheek pads (where removable) in lukewarm water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry fully before reinstalling.
Clean the visor with a soft, damp microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor as this causes fine scratches.
Inspect the chin strap and retention system before each ride for fraying, cracking or looseness.
Store the helmet in its bag or a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and extreme heat, all of which degrade EPS foam and shell integrity.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible, as EPS foam does not recover after a single compression event.
Do not apply paint, stickers or adhesives not approved by the manufacturer, as solvents in these products can weaken polycarbonate or fibreglass shells.
Replace the helmet in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended service life or at a maximum of five years from first use, whichever comes first.
