Operations & maintenance

Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth and a mild soap solution; avoid petrol, solvents or abrasive cleaners, which can degrade the finish and structural integrity of the shell.
Wipe the visor with a soft damp cloth; never wipe a dry visor, as fine grit will permanently scratch the surface.
If the interior liner is removable, hand-wash it with mild detergent and allow it to air-dry completely before refitting — do not machine-dry or use direct heat sources.
Inspect the chin strap, buckle and retention system before each ride; retire the helmet immediately if any component shows cracking, fraying or damage.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact even when external damage is not visible, as the inner EPS liner can be compromised without showing obvious signs.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemical fumes, all of which can degrade the shell and liner materials over time.
Do not place the helmet on its chin bar or hang it from a mirror stalk, as sustained pressure on these points can stress the shell and strap anchor points.
Before applying any aftermarket stickers or touch-up products to the shell, confirm compatibility with the finish — many adhesive solvents can attack matte coatings.
