Clean the outer shell with a mild soap solution and a soft, damp cloth; never use petroleum-based solvents, acetone, or abrasive pads, as these can degrade the shell finish and structural integrity.
Remove interior comfort liner and cheek pads (where removable) and hand-wash separately in lukewarm water with mild detergent; allow all components to air-dry completely before refitting.
Do not apply compressed air directly into ventilation ports or use a high-pressure hose on the helmet.
Inspect the chin-strap webbing and buckle mechanism regularly for signs of fraying, cracking, or weakened retention; cease use if damage is found and contact Alpinestars for service guidance.
After any significant impact — even if no external damage is visible — retire the helmet immediately; EPS liner compression is not visible to the naked eye.
Store the helmet in its dust bag (if included) in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel, oil, and cleaning chemicals, all of which can degrade shell materials over time.
