Shark Spartan GT Pro Carbon Skin

The Shark Spartan GT Pro Carbon Skin is the French brand's flagship GT sport full face helmet, built around a fibreglass and carbon composite shell with a multi-density EPS liner. It meets the current UNECE 22.06 standard, and pairs that protection with a low-drag profile shaped by a double rear spoiler.

It suits sport touring and fast road riders who spend long days in the saddle and want race-derived hardware without the compromises of a track-only lid. The optical class 1 visor uses a four-point locking system taken from Shark's Race-R Pro GP, a Pinlock 120 Max Vision insert is supplied in the box, and a UV380-treated internal sun visor drops down for bright conditions.

Comfort comes from Sanitised-certified ALVEOTECH antimicrobial lining fabric, a shape that accommodates glasses, and the Shark Emergency Release System for rapid cheek pad removal by first responders. The shell is also prepared for Shark's Sharktooth intercom, sold separately.

Measure the circumference of your head about 2 cm above the eyebrows and compare it against Shark's size chart before ordering; the helmet should be snug with no movement when you shake your head.
Fasten the double-D ring strap every ride by threading the strap through both rings and back between them, then pulling firm — the strap should sit against the jaw, not the throat.
Clean the shell and vents with warm water and a mild soap on a soft cloth. Do not use petrol, thinners, ammonia-based cleaners or other solvents, which attack the paint and the composite shell.
Clean the visor and Pinlock insert separately with lukewarm soapy water and a soft cloth only. Never use abrasive pads or glass cleaner, and do not wipe the Pinlock dry when it is fogged — let it air dry.
Refit the Pinlock insert by seating it on the visor's eccentric pins, and adjust the pins if the seal is too loose or the visor distorts.
Raise and lower the internal sun visor using its external lever; do not force it and keep the mechanism free of grit.
The Shark Emergency Release tabs are for first responders removing the cheek pads after an accident — do not use them as a routine way to strip the liner.
Dry a wet helmet at room temperature with the visor open and the interior exposed. Never use a hairdryer, heater or direct sunlight on the shell or liner.
Store in the supplied helmet bag in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, fuel and exhaust fumes, and avoid hanging it on a mirror or bar end.
If you fit a Sharktooth intercom, use the recessed locations provided rather than drilling or cutting any part of the shell or EPS.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if there is no visible damage — the EPS crushes internally and will not protect a second time.
