The Shark Skwal i3 in the RHAD black and blue graphic is a full face road helmet built around an injected high-impact Lexan polycarbonate shell and multi-density EPS, and approved to UNECE 22.06. Its standout feature is the integrated LED lighting system with active brake lights: a triaxial accelerometer senses deceleration and triggers the rear LEDs automatically, so there are no cables to run and no Bluetooth pairing required.

It suits commuters and everyday road riders who want extra visibility in traffic without bolting anything to the helmet. Day-to-day comfort comes from Shark's "BEST FIT" interior, developed from a 3D head-scanning programme and made up of five technical textiles, plus a drop-down internal sun visor and an optical class 1 anti-scratch outer screen with a Pinlock 70 insert supplied in the box.

The screen removes tool-free for cleaning or replacement, the chin strap uses a micrometric ratchet buckle, and the shell is prepared for Sharktooth Prime and SENA for SHARK intercom systems.

Charge the integrated LED system before first use and top it up regularly, following the charging instructions in the manual supplied with the helmet.
The brake light works automatically from the built-in accelerometer — it needs no wiring, no pairing and no connection to the motorcycle, but check the LEDs are switched on and functioning before each ride.
Clean the shell, visor and internal sun visor with lukewarm water and a mild soap using a soft cloth; never use solvents, petrol, ammonia-based glass cleaner or abrasive products, as these damage the anti-scratch coatings and can weaken the polycarbonate shell.
Remove the visor with the tool-free extraction system rather than forcing it, and refit it fully so the screen lock engages.
Handle the Pinlock 70 insert by its edges only, fit it to the inside of the visor, and use the tension adjustment levers to set a light, even seal; replace the insert if the silicone bead hardens or the insert becomes scratched.
Remove the "BEST FIT" cheek pads and crown liner using the textile fixing system, hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, and air dry away from direct sunlight, heaters and dryers.
Adjust the micrometric strap so the ratchet engages several teeth and the helmet cannot be rolled forward off the head; re-check the length after washing or changing liners.
After riding in rain, let the helmet and liner dry naturally at room temperature before storing; do not use a hairdryer or place it near an exhaust.
Store the helmet in the supplied bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel and solvent vapours, and never hang it on a mirror or handlebar.
Do not paint the shell or apply stickers, adhesives or aftermarket fittings that are not approved for this helmet.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact or drop, even if there is no visible damage.
