The Shark Skwal i3 Hellcat is a full-face road helmet built around one standout idea: making you easier to see. It is the first full-face helmet to integrate active LED brake lights, using a built-in triaxial accelerometer to detect deceleration and light up automatically — no wiring and no Bluetooth pairing required.

Underneath the motorsport-inspired Hellcat graphic sits a high-impact Lexan injected polycarbonate shell over multi-density EPS, approved to the current UNECE 22.06 standard. Shark's "BEST FIT" comfort liner, developed from a 3D head-scanning programme, gives the helmet a close second-skin feel across long days in the saddle.

This version ships with an extra Iridium Blue visor alongside the fitted clear screen and a Pinlock 70 insert, so it suits both daily commuting and touring. Intercom-ready for Sharktooth and SENA for SHARK systems.

Clean the shell and visor with lukewarm water and a mild soap using a soft, non-abrasive cloth; never use petrol, solvents, thinners or ammonia-based glass cleaners, which attack the polycarbonate shell and visor coatings.
Do not dry-wipe a dusty visor — soften grit and insects with a damp cloth first to protect the Optical Class 1 anti-scratch coating.
The Pinlock 70 insert is silicone-sealed and scratches easily: handle it by the edges, clean it separately with water only, and pat it dry rather than rubbing.
Use the patented tool-free release to swap between the clear and Iridium Blue visors; check the visor seats fully and that the screen lock engages before riding. Tinted and Iridium visors are for daytime use only.
Keep the internal sun visor retracted when not needed, and never fit a tinted outer visor and lower the sun visor at night.
Recharge the integrated LED system in line with the instructions in the supplied owner's manual, and top it up after long periods without use so the brake light function is ready when you ride.
Remove and hand-wash the "BEST FIT" liner and cheek pads in cool water with mild detergent; air-dry them away from direct heat and refit using the patented textile fixing points before use.
Store the helmet in its bag in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and never rest it on a hot exhaust, mirror or fuel tank — fuel vapour and heat degrade the shell.
Never paint, apply stickers or adhesives, or modify the shell or EPS, and do not attempt to repair the LED module yourself.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if there is no visible damage, and check the micrometric buckle strap regularly for fraying or slippage.
