The Shark Skwal i3 Blank SP is a full face road helmet built around one headline idea: integrated active LED brake lights. Shark developed it as the first full face helmet to carry brake lighting in the shell itself, lifting your visibility to following traffic at exactly the moment you slow down.

Underneath the lighting, it is a well-sorted everyday road helmet. A Lexan shell over multi-density EPS handles impact management to the current UNECE 22.06 standard, while the Class 1 optical quick-release visor comes factory-fitted with a Pinlock 70 insert and is backed up by a drop-down anti-scratch sun visor for changing light. Shark's BEST FIT interior shapes the fit, and the shell is prepared for Sharktooth and SENA for SHARK intercoms.

Check the integrated LED brake light system is charged and functioning before each ride, and switch it off when the helmet is stored for extended periods.
Keep the LED units and any charging port clean and dry; wipe away road grime and water with a soft cloth rather than a pressure washer.
Wash the shell and vents with warm water and a small amount of mild soap, then dry with a soft microfibre cloth — avoid petrol, solvents, ammonia-based cleaners and abrasive pads, which can attack the Lexan shell and visor coatings.
Clean the visor and the drop-down sun visor with warm water only; both carry coatings that harsh chemicals and dry wiping will scratch.
Soften stubborn insect residue by laying a damp cloth over the visor for a few minutes before wiping, rather than scrubbing.
Fit the Pinlock 70 insert to the inside of the visor for cold or wet riding, and refit the visor using the quick-release mechanism until it clicks home on both sides.
Allow the interior to air dry fully after wet rides before storing, and keep the helmet out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources such as exhausts or hot boots.
Store the helmet in the supplied bag on a flat, stable surface — never hang it from a mirror or bar end, and never rest it on the seat or tank where it can fall.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no damage is visible; EPS is designed to compress once.
