Shark Skwal i3 Blank SP Matte ANT/BLK/SIL

The Shark Skwal i3 Blank SP is a full-face road helmet built around a genuinely novel idea: active LED brake lights integrated into the helmet itself, giving riders behind you an extra, eye-level signal that you are slowing down. Underneath the light system it is a serious piece of safety equipment, with a Lexan shell, multi-density EPS liners and homologation to the current UNECE 22.06 standard.

It suits commuters, touring and everyday road riders who spend time in traffic and want to be seen, as well as connected riders — the shell is shaped for Sharktooth and SENA for SHARK intercom fitment. Day-to-day usability is well covered with a Class 1 optical clear visor, a factory-supplied Pinlock 70 insert, a drop-down anti-scratch sun visor and Shark's BEST FIT interior shaping.

Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and mild soap only — solvents, petrol-based cleaners and abrasive pads will damage the Lexan shell and the matte finish.
Remove the Pinlock 70 insert before cleaning the visor, and wipe both with lukewarm water and a soft cloth; the anti-fog and anti-scratch coatings mark easily, so avoid dry wiping and household glass cleaners.
If fog appears at the edges of the Pinlock insert, check that it is seated evenly and adjust the visor pins so the insert seals against the visor.
Operate the drop-down sun visor with the helmet off your head until you are familiar with the mechanism, and keep the slider and visor channels free of grit.
Keep the integrated LED brake light system charged in line with Shark's instructions, and recharge it before long rides rather than leaving the battery flat for extended periods.
After wet or hot rides, let the interior dry naturally at room temperature — never use a hairdryer, heater or direct sunlight, which can distort the EPS and lining.
Store the helmet in the supplied bag in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight; don't hang it on a mirror or handlebar, where the lining and shell can be damaged.
Check the size by measuring your head circumference just above the eyebrows against Shark's size chart — the helmet should feel snug with no movement when the chin strap is fastened correctly.
Inspect the chin strap, visor mechanism and quick-release fittings regularly, and make sure the visor is fully latched before setting off.
Do not apply paint, stickers or adhesives to the shell, and replace the helmet after any significant impact even if no damage is visible.
