The SHAD Sissy Bar Kit is a model-specific backrest assembly made for the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 from 2023 onwards. It bolts to the rear of the bike to give your passenger something solid to lean against, turning longer cruises and two-up touring into a far more comfortable proposition.

Because it is designed around this exact motorcycle rather than adapted from a universal kit, the mounting hardware and bar shape follow the lines of the Super Meteor. A backrest pad is included in the kit, and a PDF fitting manual is supplied for installation. Reference R0SP63SN.

Please confirm your model year before ordering, as this kit is specific to 2023-onward Super Meteor 650 models.

  • Fit the sissy bar following the supplied PDF manual, using the mounting points and hardware provided for the Super Meteor 650.
  • Tighten all fasteners to the torque figures given in the SHAD manual and your Royal Enfield service manual — do not overtighten into the frame or subframe.
  • Re-check all bolts after the first ride and then periodically, particularly after long trips or riding on rough roads.
  • Do not use the sissy bar as a lifting or tie-down point when transporting the motorcycle.
  • Wipe the bar and pad down with a damp cloth and mild soapy water, then dry thoroughly; avoid solvents, petrol-based cleaners and abrasive polishes that can dull the finish or mark the pad.
  • Rinse off road salt, insects and grime promptly to help protect the finish.
  • Inspect the pad and its mounts for wear, splits or movement, and stop using the backrest until any loose or damaged parts are rectified.
  • If you remove the kit, refit the original fasteners and keep the sissy bar hardware together for reinstallation.
