- Torque all clamp bolts to the motorcycle manufacturer's specified torque setting — do not over-tighten, as this can crack chrome plating or distort the bar.
- Ensure all controls (throttle, brake, clutch), cables, and wiring harnesses are routed correctly and have adequate slack after fitting.
- Inspect cable routing after installation to confirm no binding or pinching occurs at full lock in both directions before riding.
- Clean chrome surfaces with a soft cloth and a chrome-safe polish; avoid abrasive cleaners or steel wool that will scratch the finish.
- Rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly after exposure to rain, salt air, or road grime to prevent corrosion beneath the chrome.
- Store in a dry environment; consider applying a light coat of chrome protectant if the motorcycle is stored long-term.
- Periodically check clamp bolts and control mounts for tightness, particularly after the first few rides following installation.
