Alpinestars RT-8 Gore-Tex Boots Black Blue

The Alpinestars RT-8 Gore-Tex Boot is a protective touring boot built for riders who want genuine all-day comfort both on and off the bike. A compact, low-profile shape lets it sit easily under riding pants, while a sole unit derived from Alpinestars' performance shoe range makes walking around at fuel stops, campsites and coffee breaks far less of a compromise than a traditional road boot.

A full Gore-Tex membrane handles wet-weather touring without trapping heat, and the technical microfibre and synthetic textile upper keeps the boot supple where you need feel on the controls. Reinforcement through the heel, toe and shin, together with the integrated Transversal Protection Frame, adds structure and footpeg support without locking out natural foot flex.

Allow a short break-in period of gentle riding and walking so the upper and sole moulds to your foot before a long tour.
Set the internal volume adjuster and instep fast-lace first, then close the lateral zip and press the hook-and-loop flap down over its full length so the zip stays protected.
Brush off mud, grit and road salt after wet or dirty rides, then wipe the upper with a soft damp cloth and a little mild soap.
Avoid solvents, petrol, brake cleaner, bleach and harsh detergents — they can damage the upper, the lamination and the stitching.
Do not machine wash or tumble dry the boots.
If the boots get soaked, dry them at room temperature away from direct sunlight, heaters, fires and exhaust pipes; stuffing them loosely with paper helps them keep their shape.
Keep the upper clean and free of heavy oil- or wax-based dressings, which can clog the surface and reduce the breathability of the Gore-Tex membrane.
Rinse and occasionally lubricate the entry zip with a purpose-made zip lubricant, and keep grit out of the hook-and-loop flap so it keeps gripping.
Check the lug pattern for wear and the heel, toe and shin reinforcements for damage before long trips; worn soles reduce grip when you put a foot down.
Store upright in a cool, dry, ventilated place with the zips closed and laces slackened — not compressed under other gear.
Retire the boots after a crash or any significant impact, and do not modify, cut or remove the TPF or other protective components.
