The RST Sabre CE Leather Pant is a sport-cut leather riding jean built for riders who want the abrasion resistance of cowhide without the stiffness of a traditional track pant. A soft-touch, matte-finish premium drum dyed cowhide shell is paired with four-way woven stretch and motion panels through the key movement zones, so the fit stays comfortable both on the bike and off it.

Airflow comes from panel-in-panel perforated leather backed by a fixed Quick Dry mesh liner, while waist adjusters and elasticated side waist panels help dial in a contoured fit. Protection is handled by CE Level 1 knee and hip armour, tone-on-tone TPU knee cups and reflective piping, with the whole garment carrying an AAA CE rating under EN 17092.

A 360° connection zip joins the pant to any RST jacket, including the matching Sabre leather jacket, making it a straightforward choice for sport and sports-touring riders after a leather two-piece.

Check that the CE Level 1 knee and hip armour is seated correctly in its pockets before every ride, and that the knee cups sit over the kneecap when in the riding position.
Expect a short break-in period: the cowhide will soften and mould to your shape over the first few rides, so choose a snug rather than loose initial fit.
Use the waist adjusters and elasticated side waist panels to fine-tune the fit rather than sizing up, which keeps the armour in position during a slide.
Brush off dust and road grime with a soft, dry brush, then wipe the leather with a barely damp cloth and allow it to air dry away from direct heat.
Do not machine wash, tumble dry or dry clean the pants, and avoid solvents, petrol-based cleaners and harsh detergents that will strip the drum dyed finish.
Treat the leather occasionally with a quality leather conditioner suitable for motorcycle garments to stop it drying out and cracking; avoid heavy waxes on the perforated panels.
If the pants get wet, hang them to dry naturally at room temperature — never on a heater, in front of a fire or in direct sun — and condition the leather once dry.
Remove the armour before any deep cleaning, and clean the protectors separately with mild soap and water, allowing them to dry fully before refitting.
Store hanging in a cool, dry, ventilated space rather than compressed in a bag, which helps the leather keep its shape.
Check the knee sliders, hook and loop attachment, MAX zips and seams periodically, and replace worn sliders or damaged armour before riding again.
Any leather or garment that has been through a crash should be inspected and, if the shell, stitching or armour is compromised, retired from use.
