The RMStator RM05009 is a replacement two-position ignition key switch for assorted Honda motorcycles and ATVs. It is built as a direct replacement for the original unit, so it mounts and wires in the same way without cutting or splicing.
It suits riders and workshops replacing a worn, seized or water-damaged factory switch, or anyone who has lost the original keys. The switch arrives complete with two keys and the connectors, making it a straightforward plug-and-play job.

- Confirm the part suits your exact model and year against the fitment listing before installing.
- Disconnect the battery before removing the original switch to avoid short circuits.
- Compare the new switch with the original for body size, wire length and connector layout before final fitment.
- The connectors are supplied to plug straight into the factory loom - no cutting or splicing should be needed.
- Route and secure the 300mm lead away from hot components, moving suspension and steering, and keep it clear of pinch points at full lock.
- Check that the key turns cleanly between Off and On, and that the engine starts and shuts down correctly, before riding.
- Keep the connectors clean and fully seated; moisture and corrosion at the plug are a common cause of intermittent ignition faults.
- Store the spare key somewhere separate from the bike so a lost key does not leave you stranded.
- Do not force a stiff key - check for a bent key, debris in the barrel or a misaligned mount instead.
- Avoid high-pressure washing directly at the switch body and connector.
- Choosing a selection results in a full page refresh.
