Fit and remove with the helmet's quick-change mechanism only — raise the visor to its highest position, release the side plates, then check both sides click home and the visor seals evenly against the eyeport before riding.
Clean with lukewarm water and a mild soap using a soft microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor, as grit will drag across the mirror coating.
Avoid solvents, petrol, ammonia-based glass cleaners, insect removers and abrasive pads — these attack the coating and can craze the visor.
Soften stubborn insects by laying a damp cloth over the visor for a few minutes, then rinse away rather than scrubbing.
If you fit a Pinlock anti-fog insert, seat it on the pins on the inside of the visor and clean that inner face with water and a soft cloth only.
Use this visor in daylight; carry a clear visor for night and low-light riding and check your state's road rules on tinted and mirrored visors.
Store the visor in its bag or box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and don't leave it sitting on a hot engine or in a parked car.
