The Rjays Tour Air 2 is a vented textile touring jacket built around a 450D polyester shell with large abrasion-resistant mesh panels, so airflow keeps moving through the jacket on warm days rather than stalling at the collar and cuffs.

Two removable liners — a waterproof layer and a 100g thermal layer — let the same jacket carry across seasons, while CE armour at the shoulders and elbows and an EVA rubber back pad handle the protective side. Arm and waist adjusters, a micro fibre collar and cuffs, and six pockets round it out for commuting and longer touring days.

  • Remove the waterproof liner, thermal liner and all armour before washing — never machine wash the jacket with armour still fitted.
  • Follow the garment care label for washing; use a mild detergent and avoid bleach, solvents and fabric softeners, which can degrade the mesh and the waterproof membrane.
  • Drip or air dry away from direct sunlight and heat sources; do not tumble dry or iron the outer shell.
  • Spot-clean light dirt and insect residue promptly with a soft damp cloth and warm water so it doesn't set into the mesh panels.
  • Keep the reflective welding clean and free of grime so it stays effective in low light.
  • Before each ride, check that the shoulder and elbow armour and the EVA back pad are seated correctly in their pockets and haven't shifted.
  • Run the waist connection zip fully closed when pairing the jacket with compatible riding trousers, and set the arm and waist adjusters so the armour sits over the joints rather than sliding around.
  • Hang the jacket on a wide hanger in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place; storing it damp or compressed can leave odours and creases in the liners.
  • Inspect zips, snap buttons and stitching periodically, and have worn hardware or damaged panels repaired or replaced rather than riding in compromised gear.
  • After a crash or heavy impact, retire the affected armour and have the jacket assessed — abrasion damage isn't always visible from the outside.
