The Rjays Tour Air 2 Ladies Jacket is a women's-specific touring jacket built around large abrasion-resistant mesh panels, so it keeps moving air across the rider through an Australian summer while still carrying impact protection at the shoulders, elbows and back.

Two removable liners — a waterproof, breathable membrane liner and a thermal liner — let the same shell carry over into wet weather and cooler mornings, which makes it a practical choice for commuters and touring riders who want one jacket for most of the year rather than a dedicated summer-only mesh.

Finished in a black and pink colourway with reflective welding for low-light visibility, and cut with arm and waist adjusters so the fit — and the armour position — can be dialled in over light or layered clothing.

  • Remove the CE shoulder and elbow armour, the EVA back pad and both liners before any washing — armour and pads should never go through a machine.
  • Wash the outer shell and liners separately by hand in cool water with a mild detergent; close all zips first so hardware does not snag the mesh.
  • Avoid bleach, solvents, petrol, spot cleaners and fabric softener — softener and solvents clog the mesh and can damage the waterproof/breathable membrane in the liner.
  • Drip or air dry the shell and liners on a wide hanger, out of direct sunlight and away from heaters, exhausts and tumble dryers; do not iron.
  • Make sure the jacket and both liners are completely dry before refitting the liners or storing, otherwise mildew and odour can develop in the mesh.
  • Refit the armour into the correct shoulder and elbow pockets after cleaning, then set the arm and waist adjusters so each protector sits squarely over the joint before riding.
  • Zip in the waterproof liner ahead of wet weather and remove it for hot, dry riding — the mesh shell only ventilates properly with the liners out.
  • Add the 100g thermal liner for cold mornings; it can be run with or without the waterproof liner depending on conditions.
  • Use the waist connection zip to join the jacket to compatible riding trousers so it cannot ride up in a slide.
  • Inspect the stitching, zips, snap button wrist closures, reflective welding and armour periodically for wear, and retire the jacket after any crash impact — protective foam and shell fabric do not perform the same way twice.
  • Store on a wide hanger in a cool, dry place rather than folded, so the mesh panels and armour keep their shape.
