Wipe the leather clean with a soft cloth dampened with warm water; avoid solvents, petrol-based cleaners and harsh detergents.
Do not machine wash, tumble dry or dry clean.
If the pants get wet, dry them naturally at room temperature away from direct sunlight, heaters and exhaust pipes, as heat will harden and crack the leather.
Apply a quality leather conditioner occasionally to keep the panels supple, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
Expect a short break-in period as the leather moulds to your shape; fit should be snug rather than loose so protection stays in place in a slide.
Inspect the knee sliders regularly and replace them once worn down, before they wear through to the pant.
Check seams, stitching and zips for damage after any fall, and retire the pants if the leather has been abraded through.
Hang the pants on a wide hanger in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place rather than folding or storing them compressed.
