The Rjays Calibre II is a perforated leather road jacket built from premium buffalo leather, with CE armour at the shoulders and elbows. Ventilation panels are perforated through the leather itself, so airflow comes without giving up the abrasion resistance riders buy leather for.

It is set up to cover more than one season: a removable thermal vest takes the edge off cooler mornings and comes out again when the weather turns, while a mesh comfort liner keeps the jacket easy to wear next to a shirt. Shoulder gussets ease the reach to the bars, and waist adjusters let you tune the fit over different layers.

Before the first ride, check that the shoulder and elbow armour is seated flat in its pockets and sits over the joint when you are in the riding position; set the waist adjusters over the layers you normally wear.
Expect leather to feel firm at first — it softens and moulds to you over the first few rides.
Remove the thermal vest and any armour before cleaning the shell.
Do not machine wash, tumble dry or dry clean the leather. Wipe the shell with a soft cloth and lukewarm water, using only a mild leather cleaner if needed, and avoid solvents, petrol, bleach and household detergents.
Use a soft brush or low-pressure air to clear grit, insects and road film from the perforations so airflow is not blocked.
Perforated leather is ventilated, not waterproof — plan on a rain layer over the top for wet rides.
If the jacket gets wet, hang it to dry at room temperature away from direct sunlight, heaters and exhausts; forced heat will stiffen and shrink leather.
Condition the leather occasionally with a suitable leather care product once it is fully dry, testing on a hidden section first.
Store on a wide or padded hanger in a cool, dry, ventilated spot — not compressed in a bag or sealed plastic, which encourages mildew.
Inspect the leather, seams, zips and armour pockets periodically, and replace the jacket or any armour that has taken a crash impact or shows abrasion damage.
