The LS2 OF616 Airflow II is an open face helmet built for city and commuter riding, where light weight, airflow and easy all-day comfort matter most. Its HPTT thermoplastic shell keeps overall weight down to around 1200 g, and the clean, modern profile is finished here in plain white.

Two large front air inlets feed a channelled EPS liner and rear exhaust port, so air keeps moving through the helmet in stop-start traffic and warmer weather. A wide, scratch-resistant visor gives a generous field of view, while the removable and washable interior keeps things fresh over a long riding season.

It suits scooter, naked bike and around-town riders who want the open, airy feel of an open face lid with a sensible level of comfort and convenience — including being ready for the LS2 Spectrum intercom.

  • Check the fit before first ride: the helmet should sit snugly with no pressure points, and the micrometric buckle should be adjusted so the chin strap is firm against the jaw and cannot be pulled off the head.
  • Remove the interior liner and cheek pads for washing; hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild soap, rinse thoroughly and air dry away from direct heat and sunlight before refitting.
  • Clean the shell with a soft cloth and warm water with a little mild soap only; avoid petrol, solvents, ammonia-based cleaners or abrasive products, which can damage the thermoplastic shell and its finish.
  • Clean the visor separately with warm water and a soft cloth. Never rub a dry visor and never use solvents or glass cleaner - the scratch-resistant and UV coatings can be stripped.
  • Soften dried insects or road grime by laying a damp cloth over the visor for a minute or two, then wipe gently rather than scrubbing.
  • Use the quick release system to remove and refit the visor without tools, and check the visor mechanism is fully engaged and rotates smoothly before riding.
  • Keep the front air inlets and rear exhaust port clear of dirt and insects so ventilation continues to flow through the channelled EPS.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and keep it away from fuel and exhaust fumes - vapours can degrade the shell and liner over time.
  • Do not paint the shell or apply stickers and adhesives, and do not drill or modify the helmet in any way.
  • Replace the helmet after any significant impact or drop, even if no damage is visible, as the EPS may be compressed internally.
  • If fitting an LS2 Spectrum intercom, use the provided intercom recesses and route wiring so it does not sit between the EPS and your head.
