Description
Description
The LS2 OF616 Airflow II is an open face helmet built for urban and commuter riding, where visibility, airflow and low weight matter most. Its HPTT thermoplastic shell keeps the overall weight around 1200 grams, so it stays comfortable through stop-start traffic and longer days in the saddle.
Two large intakes feed a channelled EPS liner with a rear exhaust port, drawing heat and stale air away from the head. A wide, scratch-resistant visor with a quick release system gives an open field of view and swaps out without tools, while the removable, washable interior keeps the fit fresh between rides.
Finished in matte black, this is a straightforward everyday helmet for scooter, naked bike and cruiser riders who prefer an open face over a full face.

Operations & maintenance
Operations & maintenance
Fit the helmet level on the head and adjust the micrometric buckle so the chin strap is firm under the jaw, then check the buckle is fully latched before every ride.
Remove the liner, cheek pads and neck roll and hand wash them in lukewarm water with mild soap; air dry away from direct heat and refit only once completely dry.
Clean the shell with a soft cloth and warm water with a little mild soap; avoid petrol, solvents, ammonia-based cleaners and strong degreasers, which can attack the HPTT shell and its finish.
Clean the visor separately with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive pads or solvents, as they will damage the scratch-resistant and UV-resistant coating.
Soften stubborn insect residue by laying a damp cloth over the visor for a few minutes rather than scrubbing it off dry.
Use the Quick Release System to remove the visor for cleaning or replacement, and make sure it clicks back into place and opens and closes smoothly before riding.
Keep the top vents and rear exhaust port clear of dirt and insect debris so airflow through the channelled EPS is not restricted.
Remove the breath deflector in warm weather to reduce heat build-up, and refit it in cooler or wetter conditions to help limit visor fogging.
If fitting an LS2 Spectrum intercom, use the helmet's prepared speaker recesses and cable routing so the pads sit flat and do not press on the ears.
After riding in rain, let the helmet dry naturally at room temperature with the liner removed rather than using a hairdryer, heater or direct sunlight.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from fuel and exhaust fumes, and never hang it on a mirror or indicator stalk where the EPS can be deformed.
Replace the helmet after any impact or significant drop, even if there is no visible damage, as the EPS liner compresses on impact and cannot be reused.
