Description

The LS2 MX702 Pioneer II Crazy is a dual-sport adventure helmet built for riders who split their time between bitumen and dirt. The KPA shell keeps weight down without giving up structure, and the removable, adjustable peak lets you set it up for trail glare or take it off for higher-speed touring stints.

Up front, a wide scratch-resistant visor and an internal drop-down sun visor cover changing light, while multi-density EPS, channelled ventilation and a plush removable liner handle the long days. The Crazy graphic pairs matte black with grey and hi-vis yellow for solid on-road presence.

Suited to adventure, dual-sport and touring riders who want one helmet that adapts across surfaces and conditions.

Operations & maintenance

Check the fit before first ride: the helmet should sit firm on the cheeks and brow with no rotation, and the micrometric buckle should be adjusted so the strap sits snug under the jaw with the ratchet fully engaged.
Remove the peak for sustained higher-speed road riding to reduce wind lift, and refit it for trail, gravel and low-sun conditions; check the peak fasteners are tight before each ride.
Clean the outer shell and both visors with warm water and a mild soap only, using a soft cloth. Petrol, solvents, ammonia-based glass cleaners and abrasive cloths will damage the scratch-resistant and UV coatings.
Soften dried insects by laying a damp cloth over the visor for a few minutes rather than scrubbing.
If fitting a Pinlock 70 MaxVision insert (sold separately), install it on the inside of the main visor and clean it with water and a soft cloth only — never dry-wipe the anti-fog face.
Remove the liner and cheek pads and hand wash in lukewarm water with mild detergent. Air dry away from direct heat and sunlight, and refit only once completely dry.
Operate the drop-down sun visor with the side slider; keep the mechanism free of grit and do not force it if it binds.
The Emergency Release System is intended for first responders to withdraw the cheek pads after a crash — do not use it as a routine way to remove the helmet.
Store the helmet in its bag in a cool, dry place, off the ground and away from direct sunlight, fuel and solvent vapours. Never hang it on a mirror or indicator stalk.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact or drop onto a hard surface, even if there is no visible damage, and do not apply stickers, paints or adhesives to the shell.
When installing an LS2 Spectrum or compatible intercom, use the moulded speaker pockets and route cabling so it does not sit between the EPS and your head.
