Fasten the double D-ring properly every ride: thread the strap through both rings, back through the outer ring, and pull firm — the strap should sit snug under the jaw with no slack.
Remove the liner and cheek pads and hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, then air dry away from direct sunlight and heat. Never machine dry or use a hair dryer, as heat distorts the foam.
Clean the carbon shell and vents with a soft cloth, warm water and mild soap only. Keep petrol, solvents, ammonia-based cleaners and insect repellent away from the shell, visor and internal sun visor.
Wash the outer visor separately with a damp microfibre cloth. Soften dried insects by laying a damp cloth over them for a few minutes rather than scrubbing.
Remove the Pinlock insert before cleaning the visor. The anti-fog coating is soft — rinse gently, do not rub dry, and let it air dry.
After dusty or muddy off-road rides, clear the chin, top and exhaust vents so the airflow channels stay open, and check the peak fasteners are still tight.
Remove the peak for sustained highway riding if you find buffeting at speed, and refit it squarely with all fasteners secured for trail work.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry place in its bag, out of sunlight and away from fuel vapours. Avoid resting it on mirrors or bar ends, which crush the liner.
Re-seat the Emergency Release System cheek pads fully after any removal so the release tabs are correctly positioned for first responders.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if there is no visible damage to the carbon shell.
