Remove the liner, cheek pads and chin curtain before washing; hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse well, air dry away from direct sunlight or heaters, and refit only when completely dry.
Clean the shell and visor with lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft microfibre cloth. Do not use petrol, solvents, ammonia-based glass cleaners or abrasive pads, as they attack the shell finish and the visor's anti-scratch coating.
Soften insects and road grime by laying a damp cloth over the visor for a few minutes rather than scrubbing dry.
Treat the Pinlock® 70 MaxVision™ insert gently — clean it only with water and a soft cloth, as the anti-fog surface is easily marked; remove it before washing the outer visor if it needs a thorough clean.
Use the quick-release system to take the visor off for cleaning, and check it clicks fully home and that the visor button lock engages before riding.
Operate the top, chin and exhaust vents by hand and keep the openings clear of insects and debris so through-flow ventilation and the channelled EPS work as intended.
Set the chin strap length so the micrometric buckle closes snugly against the jaw; use the ratchet for fine adjustment each ride, not as the primary fit adjustment.
The Emergency Release System tabs are intended for first responders to remove the cheek pads after a crash — refit the pads fully seated if you have used them for cleaning or fitment checks.
When fitting an LS2 Spectrum or other prepared intercom, use the existing speaker recesses and cable routing; never cut, sand or glue anything to the EPS liner.
Store the helmet in the supplied carry bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel and exhaust fumes. Do not hang it on a mirror or bar end, and don't leave it resting on the seat or tank where it can fall.
Do not paint the shell or apply solvent-based adhesives or stickers.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no damage is visible.
