- Hand wash the removable liner and cheek pads in cool water with a mild soap, rinse well and air-dry away from direct heat or sunlight; refit only once fully dry.
- Clean the shell and visor with warm water and mild soap on a soft microfibre cloth — petrol, solvents, ammonia-based glass cleaners and abrasive pads will damage the visor coatings and the carbon finish.
- Remove the Pinlock 120 MaxVision insert before cleaning the visor and wipe the insert gently with a damp soft cloth only; its inner face is a moisture-absorbing film that marks easily.
- Apply the supplied accessory lubricant sparingly to the visor mechanism to keep the quick release system and button lock working smoothly.
- Use the quick release system to swap between the clear and tinted visors; keep the tinted visor for good daylight and check your state's road rules on visor tint before riding with it.
- Fasten the double D-ring firmly every ride so only a finger or two fits under the strap, and never fit an aftermarket clip or buckle to the strap.
- Store the helmet in the supplied elastic bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel and solvent vapours; don't leave it hanging on a mirror or resting on the tank.
- Inspect the chin strap, visor mechanism, vents and shell regularly, and avoid painting, drilling or applying solvent-based adhesives to the carbon shell.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact or drop, even with no visible damage — the EPS liner compresses once and does not recover.
- Expect a snug fit when new; the laser-cut comfort foam beds in slightly with use, so choose a firm fit rather than sizing up.
