Check the fit before first use: the helmet should be snug on the cheeks and brow with no movement when you shake your head, and the micrometric strap should be adjusted so only a finger fits between strap and throat.
Wash the removable comfort liner and cheek pads by hand in lukewarm water with a mild soap, then air dry away from direct heat and sunlight before refitting.
Clean the shell with lukewarm water, a mild soap and a soft cloth only. Avoid petrol, solvents, ammonia-based cleaners and abrasive pads, which can attack the shell, paint and visor coatings.
Soften dried insects by laying a damp cloth over the visor for a few minutes rather than scrubbing, as the visor's anti-scratch coating marks easily.
Fit a Pinlock 70 MaxVision insert (sold separately) for cold or wet-weather fog control, and clean the insert with water and a soft cloth only.
Use the quick release system to remove the visor for cleaning or replacement; refit it fully and check it opens, closes and latches correctly before riding.
Rinse and dry the helmet after wet rides, and let the interior dry fully in a well-ventilated spot with the vents open to prevent odour.
Store in the helmet bag or on a shelf in a cool, dry place. Do not leave it in direct sun, on a hot engine or mirror, or under weight that could deform the EPS.
Do not paint, drill or apply stickers and solvent-based adhesives to the shell, and do not modify the EPS or retention system.
Replace the helmet after any impact, even if no damage is visible, and replace it at the end of its service life as recommended by LS2.
