Leatt 8.5 ADV Helmet Kit - Royal

The Leatt 8.5 ADV Helmet Kit in Royal is a dual-purpose adventure helmet built for riders who cover long road miles and still want to drop off the bitumen without swapping lids. Its wind tunnel-tested shell is shaped to minimise drag and lift at highway speeds, while the extra-wide eye port, removable peak visor and quick-release shield let you reconfigure it for off-road riding in a matter of seconds.

Protection comes from a three-layer composite matrix shell — lighter and stronger than a polymer shell — paired with Leatt's patented 360° Turbine Technology, which uses energy-absorbing turbines inside the helmet to help reduce impact energy transferred to the head and brain. It is certified and tested to ECE 22.06 and DOT.

Check the fit before every ride and always fasten the double D-ring strap correctly — the helmet only protects as intended when it is done up firmly.
Remove the washable, antimicrobial liner and cheek pads periodically and wash them; allow them to air dry fully before refitting.
Clean the shell, shields and goggle lens with mild soapy water and a soft cloth only — avoid solvents, petrol and harsh chemicals, which can damage the composite shell, shield coatings and the Pinlock insert.
Never wipe the shield or Pinlock 120 MaxVision XLT insert dry; lift dirt and insects with a damp cloth to avoid scratching the anti-fog and photochromic coatings.
Use the quick-release shield mechanism to swap between the photochromic and clear shields, and fit the supplied shield mechanism covers when running goggles in off-road mode.
The peak visor removes with a twist of its clip — remove it to reduce lift and buffeting at higher road speeds, and refit it for off-road riding.
Adjust the vents to suit conditions; close them in cold or wet weather and open them for airflow when riding slowly or off-road.
Store the helmet and goggles in the supplied carry bag in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and avoid leaving it in a hot vehicle or resting it on mirrors or handlebars where it can fall.
Photochromic shields respond to UV light and will not darken fully behind glass, and may react more slowly in cold conditions — this is normal.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no damage is visible, and retire shields once scratching starts to affect vision.
